Report - Anchorsholme 31st Jan

Post  Moscowmale on Sun Jan 31, 2010 3:16 am

Well after the wash out last nite I thought I'd try again this morning.

I had a lie in and got down there just 2 hours before high-tide.
I've never seen so many rods out affraid
Every 30 yards from Boat Club to the Bull-nose next to the sea defence works taken up, but I managed to get on the end next to the slipway and get 2 rods out.
The sea was a bit calmer than last night, and I didn't get quite as wet ......... but the bl**dy weed!
I had to hand line one lump up and was really p*ss*d when the damn thing snapped me and took my rig.
Just like last night, the baits were coming back untouched, so I called it a day when the tide turned.
Drove down the front to the Five Bar Gate and loads out fishing (W C Tackle Open). I stopped a few times.....same story, untouched baits and piles of weed.
Well done anyone who caught ...... there's plenty of us who didn't Sad
