Re: Fleetwood Forum Meet : 12th December
Hey Tink....
Don't get despondent just because you think only 8 are gonna turn up
We've had some bl**dy good laughs when only 4 -5 turn up, so 8 will be good .... a few more even better.
I really hope to see some of our newer members turn up.
I remember what it was like turning up for my first meet having not picked up a beach-caster for 30 years.
All I can say to you guys is that if you really want to be helped to get into sea-fishing, you could do no better than to meet up with the members of this forum.
Doesn't matter you've only got an 8ft boat rod and tatty old reel, in no time you'll be enjoying the camaraderie of a cracking bunch of lads 'n lasses who'll help and encourage you.

Good Idea Andy,
If you dont want to dig bait no problems there, how about 1730 at the wall, the tide gets in pretty quick there dosn't it, Say at the last place we was at on Sunday? ( I'll put it in the members only section for those who didn't go so we don't get any of ' this here sounds like a good mark! lets all go there ' surfers )
if anyone dosnt want to dig bait but go straight to the mark fine no worries just let me know.
if everyone is going straight to the mark it saves me hanging around Marine Beach and wondering where everyone is
I'll post a list for Diggers if you can let me know please
Me
Ali
Chris

post
hi everyone
i fished the west coast tackle open sat/sun just gone and the marine beach produced some excellent fishing ok the weather had a big part
to play in it but it did bring in i would gess about 200 fish maybe more between about 30 guys (codlin/whiting/flounder) fishing started from the sea cadet base round to the marine beach with some 1 to 2 IIb cod coming out, i have fished the wall just off lowther ave now twice and it has not been doing very well maybe a few small codlin but nothing to take home some guys dont like marine beach but at the moment it is the only beach with the closest access with cars and with only 30 yards to walk to the shore
UK Outlook for Saturday 12 Dec 2009 to Monday 21 Dec 2009:
The coming weekend should be essentially dry and fair across all parts of the United Kingdom, with a mix of sunshine and broken cloud. However, it will feel quite cold, with patchy fog and frost affecting many areas overnight and into the mornings. Looking ahead to next week, the mainly dry and settled theme looks set to continue, although a brisk northerly breeze will bring occasional showers to northern and eastern areas. The breeze will make it feel increasingly cold, despite some sunshine, with frost often quite widespread morning and night. The cold but mainly settled theme is likely to continue through next weekend and the start of the following week, although showers in the north and east are likely to turn increasingly wintry.

Re: Fleetwood Forum Meet : 12th December
No worries Dave whatever you can do boss, still be good to see you
Jonty you are not a pain, i welcome the suggestions it was my fault for not thinking about the ones who cant walk that far, give me a few years and i will be with you on that : )
Thanks to a P M i received earlier and after due consideration ( i have never been there but i know where it is, and i want to fish it anyway so the reason is totally selfish on my part : ) )
there is bait as well ( worms, so get digging ) so i am going to rename the Meet
5 Bar Gate Forum Meet
We can spend the full time there, getting bait and fishing without moving from one place to another.
Cleveleys for chips or whatever.
West coast tackle is 5 min away in case of emergency tackle problems.
There's parking and not too far for the walking.
So if you are worming meet there at 1300ish.
if you are just fishing see you there later : )
Scorch, Boss, i should have read your post last
time to update the sat nav
