Another night at Anchorshome Sat 17th

Post  Tink on Sun Oct 18, 2009 2:10 am

Well The Queen and myself went again tonite, and the front was full, there was someone every 10-15 paces away from each other and tonite we had some funny entertainment provided by a drunk ( very ) on his pushbike losing control and kissing tarmac! well on to the report, Got there for 8 and set up waiting for the wet stuff to arrive, wandered along and talked to our neighbours either side ( might get a new member, i found one of the paper invites in the box ) the ones to our left were very friendly and we got on like a house on fire, but they left just before midnight but gave us their left over bait ( 3 makky ) now in the freezer for next time, Ok, Ali had been in the water no longer than 5 min when her rod horseshoed she struck and nothing! that set the tone for her all night, it was 10 min later when i brought in my first small Whiting, that set the tone for my night, i had six fair to middlling Whiting some small some large no takers tho all undersize, come 1230 we decided that it was home time and after reeled in and packed away Ali did the same and pulled in a take home Whiting!!!! out fished again!! lol!
so once more neither of us blanked which was good.
now comes the good bit
as we was walking along the front heading towards the tram tracks and home we stopped at everyone who was left and asked how they went on? only one blanker but everyone else caught, ok Andy a Thornback was landed at the top end, as was 10 Ling.
most people seemed to get Dabs, Flounder and Whiting ( i was there when the Flounder was landed ) and the usual Doggies
It seems ( apart from one bloke who blanked ) everyone there had a good nights fishing and many different spiecies was caught
looking forward to my next trip which is gonna be possibly later this week
