Lottery win!!
Sorry, no I'm not a millionaire. But I feel like one. Finally, the weather has smiled on me, and is fishable when I'm available. Tomorrow morning Scooby2 (Andy) and I, set out from Knott End into Morecambe Bay and across to Walney in pursuit of some good fishing. I will take my camera and update with a report of the day tomorrow evening.

Re: Lottery win!!
A nice day out at sea, but little to show for it.
We hit the slipway about 9.30am, Scooby II slipped easily from her trailer into the Wyre and we made our way seaward along a slightly foggy Wyre channel. Sea state ideal. Two anglers full of optimism. Several drifts along the edge of Lune deep were devoid of Mackeral. A further move westwards to the area around Lune deep buoy. ?? Where's the buoy gone? The authorities have replaced the old buoy with a new one which is located over half a mile west north west of its charted location!! To make up for the inconvenience they have placed a new red buoy on the North side of the deeps oppisite Shell Wharf buoy. If any boat owners venure out to this area in fog be very aware of the placing of new buoyage.
Fished the edge of the deep with a mini pirk and feathers and got a few late season Mackeral together with some greedy Whiting.
A move to Shell flats, Andy casts out the lug baits whilst I throw half Mackeral baits seawards in the hope of a late season Tope or Thornback. Dogfish city! Damn, several moves show the whole bay inhabited by hords of the pesky dogs. Nothing that excited me enough to dig the camera out of the tackle box came over the gunnels but we had a nice day, We were even joined by a nosey Porpoise who seemed as interested in us as we were in it. The days tally consisted of Lsd's, Whiting, Lsd's, Mackeral, Lsd's, Dab, Lsd's and Plaice. Oh yes and Lsd's.
Stiill, A poor days fishing beats a good days working.

Of what? Nothing there to get excited about bud. I wish we had the nouse to photo the Porpoise near the boat. I guess we were too engrossed in the entertaining little fellow.
