bridlington boat trip 18.8.09

1st one big hell of a thank you to Paul and Ryan for making the day one i will never forget THANK YOU

me and jonty in the car and off at 4 am 2H 15mins later we are there, shortly joined by Paul, Ryan and Alan then off for a cuppa.
then on the boat and away by 7.30am.
the 1st mark no fish, not 1 but the skipper was on his toes and says lines up lads and off to the next mark (weed only been there 15 mins )
2nd mark a few bits in 15 mins then lines up lads and off we go again
3rd mark, all hell broke loose, it was mad whiting, macky, gurnard and a few more that i can't remember.
the macky and whiting where coming up in strings but big ones it sounded like river dance was on board with all the fish tapping about in the buckets
well after that i lost the plot, wreck fishing then back to drifting, it was mad.
The skipper was ace, very helpful and put us on the fish.
As for me i can't tell you how many fish i had, i lost count but i came home with one hell of a bag

ohhhhhhhhhh Frank can you put me on the record breakers please with a 1lb 6 oz macky

All in all a top day with top guys and a good laugh (has Paul stopped laughing at me yet Ryan)

Well, I'm so glad you guys have had such a good day. I've done nothing but hear about it since Chris walked through the door. He can't seem to stop "rabbiting" about it hahaaaa.
I think I can safely say this is the best days fishing he has ever had.
I'm sooooo glad he's had a good day.
You all looked to be having so much fun it was well worth it.
Jonty you flippin poser, and don't tell me it was a spur of a moment heheheheheeee.
Well done to Paul and Ryan for a good trip and a good report. I have no doubt you will be inundated with requests from now on.
I think there be a 14yr old that may want to come on the next one! defo.

ill second that macie of chrisses as every body on the boat watched it being weighed by paul a great big thanks to paul for sorting this trip out i cant wait for the next phone call my gear was sorted this morning ready for next time bring it on iv never seen h/c so happy there was fish every where that skipper did not mess about you hit one mark if no fish in 15 mins he was of to find the buggers and he did! thanks chriss fo r driving and the good banter i really enjoyed your company mate i allso met allan who was 9 years older than me and did he like fishing nice to meet you pal hope to see you again some time once again THANKS PAUL AND RYAN A VERY PLEASED JONTY

Glad to see you had a good day and the sea looks a lot calmer for you at Brid than it was for us at Whitby.
Can,t wait to meet you at Anglesy again Ryan, we,ll have to get the plugs going off the rocks.

Wish i was able to travel there with you, Makky is my fave eating fish, and i have had none yet, maybe next year! Looks like you all had a lot of fun and i drooled over the piccy of the big makky and esp the bucketful of them.
