ribble today
had a trip to the ribble nr ribchester this evening mainly to dust of the cobwebs as ive been pre-occupied with the sea recently anyway the rivers really low at the moment it didnt take long to get my cast going although there were quite a few small fish showing probably salmon parr i just couldnt quite connect with the little blighters i moved down to a small pool and fished the head of the pool had one good pull connected only for it to come adrift but the few hrs i spent were really rewarding esp. being able to see the rivers features which before now i hadnt due to it being in flood most of the last couple of summers below is a salmon i had nr the end of the season oct 2008
