Good Day at Heysham
What a glorious day it was today at Heysham. Jonty and I were there about 2 hours before high tide along with around 10 0ther locals. Most of us had static rod and shrimp traces out but didn't get a single bite on them. After a couple of hours those of us who had spinning rods started using them and thats when the action started. Everyone who started spinning caught fish. Yours truly caught the first and biggest fish of the day, it was the only taker. All of the fish caught were undersize sea bass, and all except one were returned to fight another day. Weather was fantastic, it was a very hot day. Even though I have brown skin, you will see from the photo below that even I got burned. LOL
Yours truly with a burned face.

The only taker of the day, very tasty it was too
