Hill head 03/06/09

Morning all had a short notice pass last night and headed to hill head for a bash at the hounds again with ed and the sloth , arrived at 6 pm and got a space , straight away able to fish with h/w at 9.30pm was looking good , bit of a blow but the sun was shining .... fished untill 1 am with virtually no weed , ended up with a small bass , bream and lots of these ........................



all between 5 and 7 lbs .....great sport IMHO the doubles were very shy last night but young lewis came out on top with his biggest hound and first double figure fish of his life ...............



10 lb 2 ozs , well done mate , great to see the youngens catching quality fish like that id rather see him catch than me ! , poor old ed is having the same luck as the last 2 years and blanked hes doing nothing different but just cant hit into a decent hound .... was great to fish this mark with virtually no weed at all .....what a pleasure last nights sesh was , great to meet up with friends again and there were lots of us there ... cracking evenings fishing amongst friends didnt beat my pb but that will come soon , untill friday ..........................

The record was smashed here last week frank , with a big female common of 28lbs 10 ozs which beats both boat and shore , caught on hayling island , now that will take some beating

nice report mate just wish there were a few of them bigger smuts up ere there a bit thin on the ground at the moment, great stuff , hope you get a new pb mate ,keep going with the head down lol
