Sevenoaks Fisheries, South Wales. Approx 6 miles from Junction 34, M4.
Posting this here but it actually covers "disabled access" as well.
I've just returned from checking out a fishery 8 miles from me that says on it's website that all lakes (3 of them, 2 trout/fly and 1 coarse) are fully accessible to wheelchair users (like me).
Hmmmmm.....okay, so it's reasonably level, BUT....it's all grass, so in damp weather it ain't gonna be very accessible, although the owner did talk about getting a grant to put in disabled platforms which is ok but he will need solid paths too!
Plus in my humble opinion this guy and his wife have bought a home with lakes and don't really know what they are doing, hate having to do a report like this but we need to know the good and the bad. Some of his comments included "we have some carp in the trout lake that we are growing on, and if any carp in the coarse lake get damaged in any way we swap them over"....
plus "it's the wrong time of year to fly fish with summer coming"
and "it's a man's sport"
that'll go down real well with all the female fishers that I know
On a PLUS note we saw a lot of trout feeding and jumping (good hatch going on) and they looked a really good size, and people fishing the coarse lake were catching some good fish, carp, tench, bream.
Prices are very reasonable as you will find if you check out their website:
Sevenoaks Fishery
All in all a nice spot to fish, set in a lovely location, has plusses and minuses but make your own mind up, this is just an article fully written in my opinion of what I found.
Tight lines!!!
