Boat owners - any spaces?

Just stimulating a debate...... and not a war!

Do you boat owners sometimes want to get out, but are frustrated because your regular buddies can't make the trip and launching would be difficult, even possibly dangerous going to sea solo?

Would you consider posting opportunities in this section for those of us who are beach-bound to join you, on the understanding we'd contribute towards your costs and do our share of the work?
Personally I'd be happy to pay £20-£30 for a half-days fishing.

Looking forward to comments from owners and potential crew!

I've only just read this thread.
Might I suggest that a response might have been found earlier had it been posted in the boat owners section of the forum.
I first, have to repay a favour to Chris with a day out on the water. I'm sure though, over the coming Summer we should be able to get some of you on the water.
A thought that sprang to mind was to combine a days Plaice fishing from the shore at the channel at Fleetwood for you shore danglers and launch the boats at Knott End and bring her to the channel side at Fleetwood a few times and take some of you out for an hour or two when the Mackeral are prolific. I only take one other person aboard at a time but weather permitting should be able to get two or three afloat for a few hours each.
You would be able to guard each others shore tackle whilst awaiting your turn.
The governing factor, as always, is weather and availability. George.

It is a good idea and I too would be willing to contribute to cost in order to get out to sea and also learn more about the boat side of things.

very good idear TC, once i have my boat ready and TC as showed me all he knows i would be happy to do a day like that

As some of you know i am rebuilding my boat but when its finished i will put up a post and i would be happy for any forum members to join me for a days fishing on the north east coast

hi only just read this posting those wishing a day out during the week and willing to do the,donkey work of launch and retreave ,plus contribute to petrol, its 8 pouns a launch at knott end is there a list with land line tel,numbers where weather permitting people could be contacted rgards and tel 01772-628554. andy
