Chale 3rd February

Three of us went to Chale Friday evening, very heavy frost, bitterly cold but with no wind it was tolerable.
Things were quiet till the tide turned around 9pm. First bite resulted in this pollock of around a pound.
After that I missed 2 good takes on my bass rod, which I had out about 25 yards out. Nice to now the Bass are about.
I managed a further 2 jumbo Pout before packing up at 1am.
With a very bright moon it wasn't a bad night for February.

Fish so far in 2010; Codling, Flounder, Plaice, Plaice/Flounder hybrid, And god knows how many LSD i'm KC reg'd, EEL, Whiting. 7LB Thornback Ray, Tope, Bass, Dabs and a lot of hope
2011 Catch: 11LB Thornback Ray, Tope, Whiting, Dab, LSD. and that was it!
2012 Catch: 2 LSD, 1 Dab
All hail the people who man the Boats of the RLNI, real heroes who volunteer to go out in any weather!
