Town quay /hill head 30/03/09

Hi all , well after getting back from the island at 9 am sunday morning and very little sleep , was looking forward to a nice relaxing few days , no such luck lol had a phone call from rob asking if i wanted a nice long sesh monday , be rude not to , arrived at town quay 6pm monday evening , great weather and good tides , the plan was to fish tq over low for bass then off to hillhead for rays , again fishing was very slow , with only a few pout to show for our efforts , had a few good takes on my live pout intended for bass but no takers , gave up at 11.30pm and headed to hill head , arrived at midnight and off again chasing rays , once again very slow with only a few pout and at last a bass just over the 1lb mark lol , battled on untill 6am this morning but it just wasnt to be , got totally weeded out over high water for about an hour , but it didnt put the dampers on things as we are hardened anglers lol , great night in great company , cheers rob , and i will admit to nearly falling a kip at one point lol i was shattered ,

Good post Lee, sorry to hear that there wasn't more fish but atleast you had a good time, in good company and that IMHO makes it all worth the while!
