On the North Pier at Blackpool 6/ 4/ 11

The sea was just right, the waves were white topping and a good blow stirring everything up, Birdy and self with a couple of others armed with 70+ Fresh worm, 1 box of Squid and a frozen makky met up on the end of the pier, it was just us 4 and coffee was forthcoming from the facilities provided in the cabin via a Kettle (the water is back on at last) we was there 20:00 to 23:30 result, 3 tiny Whiting (all Birdys) and enough weed to sort out the next festival at Woodstock, the high tide was not until 0200ish but the biting wind and rough tides making our leads creep towards the metal pilings helped us make up our minds and abandon the pier for much needed Vodka in a warm place called home at half eleven, it was not a good night to be out

wonder how Ron and Jonty got on tonite at Rossall
only found out 20 min ago that you both were there

hi tink jonty and ron stuck it out not to bad under wall stayed till three am
but no fish not a nibble birdy came to tell us you had bailed out then we had a visit from the local police looking for a chappie on a bike had a natter with them for a bit then hit the road home for 4am

yup seems a bad night for both sets
