What a lovely day for a blank

Post  Davey on Wed Mar 16, 2011 6:47 pm

Only having a few hours work in the morning, it was too nice a day not to spend on a beach, and what a beach it is, Chale.
The climb down hadn't changed still very steep.

Arrived and was set up by midday, clip down rigs with chunks of Bluey hoping for a Bass or Turbot close in and the other rod sandeel at distance for a Ray.
The sea was flat calm and clear, not ideal conditions for daylight fishing, but it was such a gorgeous day it didn't really matter.

Well despite trying short and distance the rods didn't even twitch, not a single nibble.

See what I mean, there still not moving!

Anyway I stayed till 5.30pm and headed for the climb back up the cliff. Despite the lack of bites it was great being down on my favourite venue, and a blank there has got to be better than a day at work.

Last photo taken half way up the cliff.

No, no, no no no. Stop encouraging him!
He just keeps publishing these photographs to upset us web footed northeners.
He is fully aware we have rain factories "up north" and are developing gills ourselves to cope with the excessive rainfall.
He'll regret these publications when the entire population of Lancashire decend on the IOW!
