The Mob have arrived

Post  Davey on Thu Sep 02, 2010 3:51 am

Just to let you know the Mob have arrived safely, Jazzman has been texting me for advice, so they are having their 1st session tonight.

I'm meeting up with them tomorrow evening and am planning on fishing Shanklin, good mixed ground so hopefully some fsh will show, will stick up a report after.

Looking forward to putting some faces to names, and showing you northners how to fish.

hi guys
Thurs night dave suggested fishin a place called totland to ease us into fishing on the island before
the assault course planed for fri/sat night we started fishing about 10.30 and the beauty off fishing this spot is
the tide doesn't go out like home. Not much at first as i think the wrong bait was being used then we tried a bit
of rag worm and i pulled in two bass we fished till about 2.00 then headed back but we could have fished 24hrs
not many photos but we caught these ones

Totland Sea front on the west coast

Sorry photos not to good

Jontys Dover Sole

With the island only being 22 mile across it is easy to swop locations within 20 mins to
get away from any bad weather we only touched on a few marks about the island to
get round them all all would take some time.

Our trip was a crackin one and our thanks go to davey for the hospitality he gave to us
on the vist to a lovley island with a certainty of returning next year for longer.

It was unfortunate that we missed out on the bigger fish on Sat Night but hay you carn't win them all
davey explained they have had a bad year up to now but tried to put us on the fish not saying we didn.t
catch anything a few small poutin but left the guys with it about 2.30 am and went back to camp

All In All A good time was had ( CHEERS DAVEY SEE YOU NEXT TIME FOR LONGER )

AND MAYBE A CRACK AT CHALE Laughing Laughing

Good report Ron, it was good to meet up with you guys, just a shame the fishing was so poor, what with the weed friday and lack of bites saturday.
Hopefully next year will be a lot better, and as you said we'll get you down Chale for a go at the Rays and Bass.
