Mini Forum fishing match

Post  jazzman on Fri Aug 06, 2010 1:46 am

hi guys
As i have not seen anything organized for future meets I was thinking of a fishing match between us the forum members/Family friends before the winter gets ready to set in ( not saying we couldn,t do it during the winter ) the proposed weekend i was thinking of as this would be a two day event was 9th/10th October i will do all the score cards and rulesfor both days .

venues:- 1. Anchorsholme Cleveleys 22.30 tide 10.2 m
2. Five Barred Gate Cleveleys 11.30 tide 9.7 m

Note:- The venue could have to be changed at the last minuite if other matches are in the same place

Cost:- 1. Adult Will be £3.00 per day or £5.00 for the two days

2. Junior £1.50 per day

Prize:- 1st Adult Cash prize for the Most Fish caught
2nd Cash Prize for the biggest fish caught
1st Junior cash prize for the most fish caught
2nd Prize ?

a small donation to the R.N.L.I will be given from the balance of the money recived

There will be a 1st/2nd prize for each day i have also included a night fish which will hopefully give members a chance to do both venues
or one day for those who carn,t make both

i hope you can find time to support this forum meet and if it is successfull i hope to run another
one in December in time for the early Codlin Laughing i hope

For those who want to collect bait orders please post your add for bait

Lets have your thoughts guys on this im sure it will also give some of the new members a chance to meet up as well, if someone has got
something to add to the meet please feel free to post your ideas the more we can arrange the better the meet.

Volenteers needed for the meet if you don,t want to fish and feel you could help out:-

1. Someone with a keen eye for a good photo and camera to match
2. two guys to help steward the match and sort out any problems that may arise

If you could PM me with your names and i will post them as being recived and will reply with the price and update the list each time
please state weather adult or Junior Pegs for the match

Junior Age for the match is upto 15 Years Old

Ron

Thanks steve
Yes a junior match could also be incorperated with this one i feel we would need to have six or more to hold that along
side the adult one and then decide weather we could afford to make a second prize but yes im all up for the idea.

Junior age i think should be from 10 to 15 years old the only down side to allowing juniors in the adult fish is that when a peg is drawn
out the juniors may get split from the parent it would then be upto an adult next to the junior to cast an eye on him/her throughout the
match, as we are one big family i don,t think it would cause to much of a problem

Good Point main post has been edited

Can i also just make a point of observation when catch & release is being made i know that it will be ineviatable that some fish may die but
take a little care when disgorging the hook if it causes problems cut the line and leave the hook and let the fish live rather than die i am
more than happy to give anyone a new hook if they have none.

any more comments guys please
