Isle of Wight camping
Seems quite a few of you are slightly envious of the fishing and venues to be found on the Island, so with that in mind, is anyone interested in coming down for a weekend camping/fishing?
I think September would be the best time, as the fishing really kicks off then here. You could turn up on a Friday get yourselves sorted then we could have a light bit of fishing at Colwell bay for Bream, Sole,Plaice, Bass etc. Then the Saturday Night do the Back of the Island, somewhere between Blackgang And Brook for Rays, Bass and Conger.
Being a tourist Island there are plenty of camp sites, if there is enough interest I could find out more information, Bait and tackle is not a problem as there are plenty of tackle shops also.
Not sure if this is too late in the year for you to get organised,if so maybe a thought for next year.
Anyway its an idea
Best you have a chat amongst yourselves and let me know, am always available if you need anymore info.
I can't promise you'll catch fish, I can only take you to the venues, then its up to you.

Re: Isle of Wight camping
Well Davey your a mind reader I have been thinking about this trip for a while now and last night i decided to ask you today when it would be the best time to come down...lol as you know i have fished all over the island in the past and i know what to has to offer its the best pace fo sea fishing in the uk. I for one would be interested in coming down and thank you for offering your valuable knowledge im sure everyone will beifit from it... a nice clean cheep camp if you can find one would be good we would not be bothered where it is as we can travel all over the island from the camp...Thanks again...Frank

Re: Isle of Wight camping
It would be a nice trip for those that can make it, why don't you suggest it as a Forum Meet? or maybe keep it on as such for those that can make it this year? Im sure we can have more than one monthly forum meet at a time esp as a lot of the members are scattered across the country, main reason a lot of them are up here is because no one sets on up down there
