Hi Gordon,im thinking of fishing the Pwllheli Open on the 23rd of May

If i cant get down there my 2 mates will,i will let you know how it is down there

Ive fished Pwllheli many times, its ok weed wise but murder after a s/westerly blow
Spider crabs are huge, use braid snoods or lift your nylon snoods off the bottom using a float or poly balls

Hi Shane warm welcome to the site... I think we fished that Pidgeon Holes as you call it , last year we fished right at the far end of the beach behind the houses some tackle was lost so this year Chris and myself decided to have a look at low water and wow couldnt belive how rocky it was it was a wonder we didnt lose all our tackle...This year we moved further back towards the boating pool...Frank

Hi Frank, your in the wrong place my friend

Go past the pier and follow the cliff road around the headland, theres little pull ins.

Park in one and look over the wall, not for the faint hearted

Be carefull in wet or icy conditions

Nice one Shane, thats a blast from the past, I used to do the N Wales boats & weight making on there for Glynn, what happened to it, it just disappeared after he took over UK fishing web site.

Thanks for the info Shane, pity the comp wasn't up to scratch. Hopefully the fishing will be better in a couple of weeks.
