Another spur of the moment 18 May

Post  Tink on Tue May 18, 2010 12:59 pm

On spur of the moment again, went Crabbing with Birdy, Ali and John ( not a member ) Got 10 peelers in various stages, decided to try for Smoothhounds.
total 2 Doggies one Johns other Mine, 1 Flounder by John, and a codling by Birdy, Ali Blanked, Birdy and John were Using Peeler, Ali and Myself on Black

Claim to Fame time i got the biggest Doggie there, a good 2 foot 3 inch ( used my arm as a measure i know its 27 inch long, wrist to shoulder and that was nose to tip of tail) Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy so a good size, i chucked it back before i could guess the weight cos it was starting to suffer, would say 3LB at a pure guess, but it was the biggest i've seen for a long time

the thing is Clive could we suffer two of you Laughing Laughing Laughing , but not joking i was really pleased with that doggie it was the largest fish i have ever caught off the shore and i was well chuffed with it, at a guess and i think im close if not under estemating it, it was 3LB poss more as i know it was 27 inch long, palm to shoulder on me and everyone else who is 6'3", just a pity the camera was rubbish, it was palm to shoulder on me and on the piccy Ali took, it just did not show up but i had to throw it back cos it started to suffer

Not claiming a record Frank as i did not weigh it Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
