Gynn Wall Forum Meet April 17th 2010

Post  FishingwithFrank on Thu Mar 25, 2010 10:40 pm

I would like to suggest Fishing the Wall right in front of the Imperial Hotel on Saturday 17th April 2010 there is ample free parking on the side road then a short walk to the sea front high tide is 13-35 9.1 m.
I fished here with Chris last year and I think he had about 18 whiting. It a very high wall and with a 9.1 m tide the water will be quiet deep just in front of you.
Meet at the wall @ 09-30.

The Imperial Hotel

Parking to the left of the Hotel is free and also in some nearby streets be careful not to park on private car paks or Hotel forecourts they may clamp or tow your car away!!!!!
At the moment there are some good sandbanks but these do move

The main 2 banks are aprox 80 to 90 yards out with a nice gully in between

and too the far right of the beach

Like I said these sand banks do move but there is a good chance it will look something like this

seems to be boss, maybe the post slipped below the radar? maybe its 'cos of other postings being posted quickly after it, it just got overwhelmed by the others before it could be read? ( shrug shoulders kinda thing )
this might bring it to the attention of the forum once more ( on side scroll )? many may read the side scroll more than the home page? as the most recent postings are there and if many postings are submitted soon afterwards it slips to the archive very quickly before its read by everyone?
Still a turnout just not as many as usual

Its past the North pier ( heading north ) past the metropol hotel, top of hill, a huge Victorian hotel. thats the Imperial ( Big brick wall ) find a parking spot somewhere? i suggest carrying on to Gynn Roundabout then park in one of the side streets and walk back, unless you get lucky and are able to find a spot behind the hotel which is unlikely this time of the year or there's side streets you might get lucky on one of those but dont hold your breath ( you turn purple Laughing )
