Recycle Frozen Lug Worm

Hi Guys

I just thought i would post a little of what i do with defrosted lug. When you go out with frozen lug and you have fished do you

throw the left overs in the sea or do you take them home to recycle for those who have to pay for bait it can get costly if you throw

away frozen bait so ive come up with a tip of how to recycle your lug worm after a fish. the photo below shows they don't look very good

for another fish but you can revamp them to look good to a fish.

Reel Drag setting

hi guys
This idea is not a bad one to adopt. when you have finished fishing and you take your reel off the rod most people leave the drag set on
tight this compresses the washers in the reel so the tip is to back the drag off completely untill you fish again which will stop the ware on them
and hopefully they will last longer

Believe it or not folks it does

Just remember not to pull your line off your reel too harshly when you come to a knot situation and hard thumb pressure is needed when you give the reel a turn. You sort of get the impression you are making things worse but stick with it and your reel ...

There are four ways to control a 6500 CT Mag all four need to be in harmony for things to run smoothly. They are: Oil - Centrifugal brakes - Magnets - Line level

Too thin oil requires more brakes or mags and less line, too few mags means thicker oil and more brakes, You get the picture. Having used a 6500 CT Mag for field work I would recommend the following:

MAGNETS Use three or four of the standard rare earth magnets, suggest you start with four and drop to three only if you need less magnet ...

Alternative Bubble Float

following on from jonty's bubble float I just remembered another way....and that is using tennis balls which you can pick up in packs cheaply from many places, pound shops for example.

they have the added advantage that they help to stop your fish, when you catch any that is, from dragging your line around rocks and other obstructions. this is a real benefit when fishing over wrecks etc, plus you can get them in bright colours like yellow and orange.

Tight lines!!
