Carefully cut the top end off, wet your finger and smooth the silicone flat

Leave it for a week or so, turn the tube upside down, then cut the other end off and smooth the silicone flat.

Now put it somewhere warm where it can set through. Mine usually takes about six months, but even before that I can start ...

hi guys
This idea is not a bad one to adopt. when you have finished fishing and you take your reel off the rod most people leave the drag set on
tight this compresses the washers in the reel so the tip is to back the drag off completely untill you fish again which will stop the ware on them
and hopefully they will last longer

However I fished Monday night , both tides Tuesday & Wednesday dinner.

The weather was against fishing along with the time of year but I was here so gave it a go.

As you can see the waves were pounding the wall.

The first 3 sessions all brought a complete blank, not only with me but everyone else who attempted it.

But on the final session this little beauty broke the duck.

Went to Marine beach and had a ball.

Pinky (me) & Chris set up together and cast

out onto a sea of glorious sunshine and sailing yachts. The other

2 (Danny & Sam) set up and away we were.

It was such a lovely day, it was warm, sunny, just lovely. It was nice to get out!!

Quite a few others were about, namely 11 in all up and down.

We fished 2 up and 2 down on lug and mackeral.

No bites no nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

1 Up 1 Down Rig

This rig really is one of my favourites.

You will be surprised how many fish you catch by using the 1up 1 down rig at between 20 and 40 yards out. Use a light rod and bait up with ragworm, but only thread them about 1cm onto the hook. The whole of the rag will wriggle around drawing the fish in. Also, by using a 2-3oz plain rolling lead the bait is allowed to move around finding the fish.

When you are going fishing, whether nearby your home or on a long distance trip, there are many fishing safety rules that you need to keep in mind.

These rules can help prevent injury to yourself and others while shore and boat fishing.

There are several different areas of fishing safety that you should be aware of.

    * Equipment Safety

My apologies to one and all, 'coz I've not prepared the quiz.

To be honest my head feels like a ball of lead after a good night in Liverpool ...... and I think I said I'd do it after last weeks's quiz.

Not seen anyone asking after it, so maybe you're not expecting one.

Instead, I reckon we should all open a bottle, get into the chat-room for 8pm and hope Jonty's on so we can sing him Happy Birthday.

Cheers

How about here later in the year?

How about considering this location.

This is the picknick/toilet block and parking area, just west of Greenod. The A590 is just visible at the top of the picture. There is ample parking, benches and tables for eating/barbeques and the fishing is just a few steps from the parking area. If you fancy making a full day of it the village of Greenod is less than a mile away and boasts good eating public houses.

Hiya folks

New to the site but posted this on another site and oldgreyfox has asked if it could be put on here.

So here goes.

Pretty new to sea fishing and started making my own rigs. This idea was given to me when making my own rigs for puddle chucking. Dont know where the idea came from or from who.

Would appreciate some opinions from the more seasoned anglers out there if there is a standard bit of kit to do this or an easier or alternative way??

INGREDIENTS: (lol)
